Adult Small Groups
From September to June, we offer a number of small group options for adults, meeting at various time through the week.
Current groups:
For those investigating faith/church:
Tuesday Evening Seekers' Study. Are you new to the faith or just beginning to learn about Jesus? Join us as we look at Jesus' story as told by one of his closest followers. We will learn from the Gospel of John together and see what Jesus said about himself. We'll also see how he interacted with others--including His enemies. Most important, you'll get to examine the claims of Jesus Christ so you can make up your own mind.
Contact Pastor Kevin for more info.
For singles:
Singles' Steamship Ministry. Our singles' group (ages 18-30) meets at 7:00 on Mondays in a Nashua home (except 1st Monday of the month). A regular "cruise" night involves free food, time in God's Word, and hanging out/game time. We're doing a study by Andy Stanley.
Visit our Facebook Page or contact Kristin for more info.
For senior adults:
Silver & Gold. Silver & Gold provides friendship and support for senior adults. We promote trusting Jesus Christ in daily life and reaching out to others who need Jesus. Once a quarter we have a special luncheon meeting, but week to week, we meet on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at the church.
Contact Pastor Cliff at the church office for more info.
For parents:
"Raising Effective Kids in a Defective World." Raiding kids is a challenge in today's world -- especially when the kids face constant pressure from their peers and culture. Join us for 9 sessions as we converse over dinner, followed by a DVD and discussion. This study meets on Friday evenings at a Hollis home.

For couples:
"Sacred Marriage." What if God designed marriage to make us holy more than to make us happy? This 14-week course meets on Sunday nights at 6:00-7:30 p.m. at the church, following the Olympians schedule.

Financial Peace University. This is an entertaining, 13-week Dave Ramsey course that will change your life! You will learn how to beat debt, build wealth, find bargains, invest for the future, give like never before, and much more! FPU classes meet for two hours each week for 13 weeks, during which time the average family pays off $5,300 in debt and saves $2,700.

For women:
Sunday Night. This group meets at 6:00-7:30 at the church and follows the Olympians schedule. Beginning 1/29/12, they will be doing "Anointed, Transformed, Redeemed: A Study of David." Video teaching sessions by Priscilla Shirer, Beth Moore, and Kay Arthur focus on King David at different stages of his life: as a young man, as a middle-aged man, and as a man facing the final third of his life. Contact the church office for more info.
Tuesday Night. This group meets at 7:00 p.m. at the church. They are currently studying "Twelve Voices for Truth -- Confronting a Falling World with Hope" by Jack Hayford, exploring the riches of the Old Testament books known as the Minor Prophets.
Contact the church office for more info.
Wednesday Morning. This group meets at 9:00 a.m. at the church. Beginning 1/25/12, they will be doing "Here and Now...There and Then" by Beth Moore, a lecture series on the book of Revelation. Beth presents many points of view, allowing women to decide for themselves when the interpretation varies among scholars. She teaches that God is as specific about what He does reveal as He is about what He does not reveal. Child care is available.

Women in a "Mismatched" Marriage If your husband is not a believer yet, join us for a small group designed for encouragement, prayer, support, and study. We will be looking at "Surviving a Spiritual Mismatch in Marriage" by Lee & Leslie Strobel. The group meets once a month on a Thursday. If you would like info on an upcoming planning meeting for this group.
