Silver & Gold
Silver & Gold is a ministry of Trinity Baptist Church that provides friendship and support for senior adults. We promote trusting Jesus Christ in daily life and reaching out to others who need Jesus.
Silver & Gold meets for Bible study and fellowship in the church lounge on Fridays at 10:00 a.m. Once a quarter, we have a special luncheon meeting at 11:00 a.m.
Our theme verse is 2 Timothy 4:17a -- But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed ... (NIV)
Goal #1: Encourage friendship among seniors in a loving atmosphere.
- Quarterly luncheons (30-60 seniors attend)
- Interaction of seniors with younger committee members
Goal # 2: Encourage seniors to grow in their personal faith in Jesus.
- Daily Bread devotional books
- Opportunity for testimonies at luncheons
- Challenge to persevere in prayer and serve one another
- Evangelistic Bible study
- Thanksgiving outreach banquet
- Challenge to trust Jesus in daily life situations
