Mississippi Trip
- Day 5
| This sign put
the events of our day in perspective for us. Today we continued work
on the second house. We needed to finish removing sheetrock from the
bathroom, remove moldy ceiling tiles in the kitchen, patch a hole in
the floor in the second bathroom, and spray and scrub down every
room. |

| We had lunch
and finished up the work early afternoon. We signed a Bible for the
owners of the house. They were not there for us to personally give
it to them, but Samaritan's Purse will deliver it to them. |

| Somebody needed
a nap ... |
 |
| We decided to
head toward the Gulf to see the damage near the coast. From the
devastation we realized that God's work here is not done. Fantastic
waves from the ocean have taken their toll on the region. Although
our work here has brought two families to the point where they can
begin to rebuild, there are literally thousands more in need of
help. Some have lost their entire home. There needs to be a
continuous wave of God's love through His people to bring hope and
glorify God here. |
