Our Learning Center offers
various programs designed for children at different
stages of development. In all of our programs our
goal is to meet each child's health and safety
needs, provide a stimulating environment which
encourages learning without overwhelming the
children, provide a positive emotional climate
which fosters trust and emulates the love that
Christ has shown to us, and to provide frequent
positive adult contact. At each level, instruction
is provided through developmentally appropriate
activities based on a central theme.
Children are placed in one
of the following groups based on age and
development.

Infants:
6 weeks to 11 months
Our Infant Program is
designed to provide a safe and loving place away
from home. We believe that to develop socially and
cognitively, a child's physical and emotional needs
must be met first. Each infant is allowed to follow
his or her own feeding and sleeping schedule and to
develop at his or her own pace. While exploration
and social interaction are encouraged, no child is
forced to participate in any activity. The staff in
our infant program strive to show Christ's love to
the children through nurturing and daily care
activities.
We firmly believe that
parents deserve to be well informed about their
child's activities. Parents are welcome to visit
the infant program at any time and the staff are
always available to chat with parents. It is
important for us to know if your child is cutting a
new tooth, did not sleep well the night before,
learned a new skill, ate a new food, is cranky in
the morning, or had an out-of-the-ordinary
experience. At the same time our staff provides a
daily report of your child's activities while at
the Learning Center. Parent/Teacher conferences are
scheduled twice a year.

Toddlers: 11 months
to 20
months
Our Toddler Program is
designed for children who are proficient walkers.
Since each child develops at his or her own pace,
the exact age at which a child is promoted from the
infant program to the toddler program will vary
from child to child. The focus of our toddler
program is exploration, and social and language
development, with a kind and loving attitude. The
staff in our infant program strive to show Christ's
love to the children through nurturing and daily
care activities. Children are encouraged to begin
to follow a set schedule for various activities. In
our toddler program children are introduced to
brief group activities, such as songs, art
projects, brief Bible stories and some organized
"games," though self-directed activities remain a
large component of each child's day. The afternoon
program is more flexible and less structured than
the morning. A nap time is provided in the early
afternoon, and a quiet time is provided during the
morning. Children who require a morning nap are
allowed to sleep.
Parent communication plays an
important role in providing quality care for our
toddlers. Parents are welcome to visit any time and
are encouraged to participate in special
activities. It is important for us to know if your
child's routine has changed at home, if he or she
is cutting a new tooth, did not sleep well the
night before, learned a new skill, ate a new food,
is cranky in the morning, or is anticipating a
special event. Our staff provides a daily report of
your child's activities while at the Learning
Center and are usually available to chat with
parents. Parent/Teacher conferences are scheduled
twice a year.

Two's:
20 months to 3 years
Our Two-Year Old Program
introduces children to a flexible preschool program
while still allowing ample room for individual
differences in development. Children in our Two's
program enjoy developmentally appropriate
experiences in art, music, Bible stories, books and
reading, language, math, science, social studies,
and fine and gross motor activities, while learning
to share and be kind to each other. The afternoon
program is more flexible and less structured than
the morning. A nap time is provided in the early
afternoon.
Parent communication plays an
important role in providing quality care for our
two-year olds. Parents are welcome to visit any
time and are encouraged to participate in field
trips and other special activities. It is important
for us to know if your child's routine has changed
at home, if he or she did not sleep well the night
before, learned a new word, or is anticipating a
special event. Our staff provides a daily report of
your child's activities while at the Learning
Center, and are usually available to chat with
parents. Parent/Teacher conferences are scheduled
twice a year.
