What's it like to visit Trinity?

When you arrive
Our largest parking lot and the main entrance* are on the back side of the building. (The first right after you turn onto Lund Rd. is a driveway that curves around the building to the main entrance, for dropping off passengers). When you come into the lobby, you'll be greeted warmly. Please allow us to make name tags for you; we all wear them, and it helps us to get acquainted with each other. If you give us your name, your name tag will be waiting for you the following week.

Some of our folks dress up for church, but you'd also be comfortable here in business casual or even casual clothes. The auditorium is air conditioned in the summer.

Nursery
Child care is available for infants and toddlers in our nursery, just down a few steps from the lobby. You can be sure that your children will receive loving, attentive care. If there should be a need, the staff will send an usher to find you.

Sunday School classes
During the school year, you'll want to arrive before 9:00 a.m. to enjoy Sunday School with us. We study the Bible together during this time, with age-graded classes available for kids age 4 through high school (as well as nursery care) and several class options for adults. Ask the greeter to help you find the right class!

Worship
Our worship service is at 10:30 a.m., preceded by a coffee and fellowship time upstairs at 10:00. (During the summer, worship is at 10:00 a.m.).

The usher will give you a handout that contains the week's announcements and prayer requests. In the pew rack you will see a "CARE Card" that we hope you'll fill out, so that we'll know you visited us. If you'd like more information about the church's programs, or if you'd like someone to call or visit you later, you can indicate that. (You can put this card in the offering plate, or in the CARE Card box by the doors.)

Our people love to sing all kinds of worship music. Hymnals and Bibles are available in the pew rack, but all the song lyrics and readings are projected on a screen in the front. If you don't know some of the songs, there's no need to feel out of place -- we frequently try new songs. It's okay to just listen and follow along.

There will be times when we listen to scripture being read, or read it together as a group. There will be times for prayer, too, and sometimes special music selections or a short dramatic sketch.

Midway through the service, younger children have the opportunity to exit to Children's Church (age 4 through 1st grade) and Junior Church (2nd through 5th grade) -- during the pastor's message, with activities appropriate for them.

Just before the pastor speaks, the ushers will collect the offering. This is a time for members and regular attenders to give their monetary gifts to God. All you need to do is put that CARE Card in the plate!

Pastor Steve or another speaker will talk for a half-hour or so, explaining what God's Word has to say and how we can respond to it. In all, the service will last about 75-80 minutes.

On the first Sunday of each month, we celebrate "Communion" (or "The Lord's Supper") during the service. This is a special time of remembering the death of Jesus Christ and what it means to us. If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, you can be part of this celebration; you don't have to be a member of our church. If you are not a believer, please simply listen and observe.

Parking
Parking in the small lot near the corner and beside the main entrance is reserved for the elderly and handicapped. There are some parking spaces just past the church building along Lund Rd., but our main lot is down in back (take either driveway to reach it). Overflow parking is available at the GatePoint II office building across the street.

* The lobby and worship center are handicapped accessible. There is also a handicapped accessible restroom at the front of the worship center.
