In-Person Service Adjustments
Posted Friday, December 11th, 2020
COVID's presence is coming closer to "home." In recent weeks, many of us have experienced it directly or in very close proximity with our family members. New Hampshire, and more specifically, the Nashua area, is seeing numbers (positive cases, hospitalizations, and deaths) going up. Nashua is even considering a curfew in response to our current COVID crisis.
It is getting closer, the numbers are going up and the risk level in our area is increasing. This is not to foster fear but rather to stoke the flame of diligence and vigilance on our parts as we gather for in-person worship services. Everyone who comes in-person plays a hugely significant role in being as safe as we can when we gather together. With that said, I need to give an update about a change with our in-person worship services: Starting this Sunday (December 13th), we will be dismissing sections following the service. When your section is dismissed, you are to gather your things and family and head outside. We will start with the section closest to the exit door and move across the worship center. You are welcomed to connect with others outside but please continue to follow the protocols of wearing masks and keeping safe distances while connecting with each other. |
We mentioned a few weeks back that we have been lingering longer and closer following the worship services and that we needed to be more intentional to follow our protocols before, during, and after the worship services. With the presence of COVID increasing, we need to be all the more purposeful in these steps. Please help us continue to provide a safer environment for in-person worship services.
Lastly, the Elders are discussing the impact of our current COVID concerns for our gatherings at Trinity. We need your prayers for wisdom as we sort through these challenging decisions. We love you all and feel the burden to make wise and safe decisions that impact us physically as well as spiritually. None of the Elders are taking this lightly. I greatly appreciate their thoughtful, prayerful togetherness during such unique times.
And we can face all of this, and more, with a thrilling hope because God has provided for us abundantly in Jesus Christ. While we are wearied from COVID-related realities, our hope can soar because Christ will one day make all things new.
Until then, let us press on, wisely, humbly, and hope-filled.
For Christ and His glory,
Pastor Shawn
