Our History

How It Began
Trinity Baptist Church had its beginnings after William Henderson, a seminarian from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, came to Nashua to discover believers who might be interested in a new evangelical church. People came from several churches in Nashua to join a weekly Bible study, and two years later, on August 1950, 25 people signed a document of intent to step out in faith and committed themselves to form a new church.

From the outset, missions was an important part of Trinity's heart, and a large portion of the annual budget was set aside for local and foreign missions. During the early years, church attendance was often close to 200.

Coming to Lund Road
In 1957, 9.5 acres of land on Lund Road were purchased for $18,000. Groundbreaking for the new church building took place on June 1, 1960, with much rejoicing for God's leading and blessing.  The ministry continued to grow over the years, and in 1969, additional classrooms were added; in 1980, the parsonage (33 Lund Road) was renovated into offices, administrative space, and additional meeting space; and in 1983 construction on a new auditorium for the weekly worship service and other gatherings began.

Today
Committed to discipleship and evangelism, Trinity continues to actively support a full program with ministries for children, youth and adults.  Our heart is also to continue to reach out into the community and world around us, serving locally in partnership with nonprofits in Nashua as well as hosting our own weekly Food Pantry, and supporting short-term missions and long-term missionaries both domestically and around the globe.  The philosophy of "Connect" (with God and others), "Grow" (individually and as a community) and "Serve" (showing God's love by loving people) is at the core of all we do.

Trinity is currently associated regionally with Mission Northeast and nationally with CB America.
