Shawn Carpenter, Senior Pastor

Shawn is new to Trinity, coming aboard as Senior Pastor in the summer of 2019.  Shawn and his sweet bride of 20+ years, Laura, have four sons.  Prior to coming to Trinity, the Carpenters were in California where Shawn was a church planter.  Shawn received his education from Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC  and is eager to help others treasure Christ as all-sufficient.  Shawn was born and raised in Ohio, but has family roots to Lowell, MA.  He’s a lifelong sufferer of Cleveland professional sports.

• Favorite Movie:  "Too hard to say, partly because I’m picky...snobbish even. I will say this: I fell in love with movies watching Duel (Steven Spielberg’s first) as a kid."

• When He Has Time:  “I’m playing basketball...for as long as my body allows.  Father Time is definitely winning.”
• What He Likes About Trinity:  “Trinity is filled with many evidences of God’s grace of rescue, transformation, and eagerness to make much of Christ.  I’m excited to be here!”
