Care Ministries

A message of hope and strength

The gospel of Jesus Christ is central to all we do at Trinity.  We believe that it is the message of salvation for those who don’t know God and the message of strength for those who do know Him.  If you are in a place where you could use some encouragement, hope, and strength, please reach out.  We have a number of ways we would love to help, whether with practical day-to-day needs, relational or personal struggles, or many other areas.

If you feel like you would benefit from professional counseling, please reach out to us to learn more about our partnership with Willowdale Counseling Services. You can connect with Pastor Shawn Carpenter, the Elders, or our Stephen Ministry leaders for more information.

Prayer

Our ability to come before God with our concerns and desires is a privilege that is open to all believers. The Bible tells us to pray for one another (James 5:16, Matthew 18:19). It also tells us that Jesus, our great high priest, understands what we are going through because he has also experienced the difficulties of this life.  Because of this, we can approach Jesus with confidence that he will hear us.

If you are going through a challenging time or are facing a difficult decision and would like someone to pray with you, contact Pastor Shawn Carpenter so that he can connect you with one of the Elders or with a member of the prayer team.  All prayer requests are always kept confidential unless you specifically indicate you would like them shared with our larger church community.

Stephen Ministry

"Caring for people through people"

Stephen Ministers are members of the church who have received over 50 hours of training to minister to people who are experiencing periods of loss or significant transition in their lives. This can include difficult times such as loss of a loved one, divorce, illness, job loss, or relocation. It might also include happy but stressful times such as birth of a child, marriage, or other seasons of major transition.

Every week a Stephen Minister will meet with you - privately and confidentially - to listen, care, encourage, support, and reflect Christ's presence in your life.  If you would like to talk about how you could benefit from the support of a Stephen Minister, please reach out.

Elders financial assistance fund

The Elders Fund is available to members and those closely associated with Trinity as a help in times of financial crisis, such as replacing a car that was damaged in an accident, or help with paying bills after unemployment, or other unexpected expenses.  The Elders Fund can also be used to help pay for mental health care when such care would otherwise be unaffordable.

In addition, the Elders Fund Team is available to help those who are having trouble establishing and keeping to a budget. Team members can meet with you to help you learn how to prioritize expenses and set up a workable budget.

If you would like help from the Elders Financial Assistance Fund or would like to meet with a Team member to discuss budgeting, please let us know.
